<\/a>Bearskin<\/strong> is an adult comedic puppet show based on the obscure Grimm’s fairytale of the same name.<\/p>\nIt’s the story of a man who makes a deal with the devil who happens to be a cat puppet in a suit. The man must last for seven years wearing a bearskin cloak and he cannot bath during that time. If he survives he will have unlimited wealth, but if he does not make it then he will lose his soul to the devil. Find out if he can survive the seven years with a cast of colorful and cheeky puppets.<\/p>\n
And because of his apparel he is called Bearskin!<\/p>\n

The show consists of a series of fun and edgy comedy sketches. This is an Adults Only<\/em> comedic puppet show containing strong language and mature content.<\/p>\n On Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Funk \u2018N Waffles<\/strong> in Syracuse, NY at 8:00pm and on Saturday June 11, 2016 at the Tramontane Cafe\u0301<\/strong> in Utica, NY, The Guild of Thespian Puppets performed this show for adult audiences only.<\/p>\n This show featured set design by Melissa Lopez. The puppeteers were Alexandria Compo, Garrett Ingraham, Douglas Keyes, Justin Parker, ans Michael Patrei.<\/p>\n The Guild of Thespian Puppets teamed up with Gary Gnu and his puppeteer, Jim Martin, for one night only, in a show called, \u201cThe Guild of Thespian Puppets Sort of Remember the 80s.\u201d This was an improv puppet show featuring different improv bits revolving around pop culture of the 1980s.<\/p>\n This show featured original music by Brian Premo and Roger Smith with set design by Melissa Lopez. The puppeteers were Alexandria Compo, Garrett Ingraham, Douglas Keyes, Greg Mirell, Justin Parker, Michael Patrei, and Nicholas Patrei.<\/p>\n The Great Space Coaster featured a magical coaster to an asteroid deep in space populated with puppet characters such as Gary Gnu with his catchphrase, “No Gnews is Good Gnews with Gary Gnu.” The show had a variety of entertainment, including skits with human and puppet characters, independent and foreign animation, original as well as cover music, and iconic celebrity guest stars of the 80’s (such as Mark Hamill, Henry Winkler, Dr. Ruth, Linda Gray, and more). The show was one of the most popular non- Henson puppet shows ever produced. A snapshot of the 80’s generation, The Great Space Coaster enjoys a cult following and is fondly remembered by people now between 35 and 45 years old.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The original story of \u201cLittle Mermaid\u201d is a fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson about a young mermaid who gives up everything to be with a human prince. Much like other fairytales of its time, this is a dark story with a tragic ending. The Guild of Thespian Puppets gives a humorous spin to this classic fairytale while remaining true to its original story.<\/p>\n This show featured original music by Brian Premo and Roger Smith with set design by Melissa Lopez. The puppeteers were Alexandria Compo, Garrett Ingraham, Douglas Keyes, Greg Mirell, Justin Parker, Michael Patrei, and Nicholas Patrei.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This comedic puppet show is based on the Charles Dickens timeless classic about Ebenezer Scrooge, the penny-pinching old miser, who is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Through these unearthly visitations Scrooge is given a chance at redemption and to change his greedy ways. The puppets give their own chaotic and comedic twist to this classic tale.<\/p>\n This show featured original music by Brian Premo and Roger Smith with set design by Melissa Lopez. The puppeteers were Alexandria Compo, Garrett Ingraham, Douglas Keyes, Greg Mirell, Justin Parker, Michael Patrei, and Nicholas Patrei.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In this puppet show The Guild of Thespian Puppets recited \u201cThe Raven\u201d by Edgar Allan Poe.<\/p>\n As with everything with the puppets, it did not go exactly as planned and chaos ensued during the reading of this classic poem.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Things quickly break down and turn to chaos during this performance. Ethel Mermaid, who was supposed to play Juliet, freaked out in front of the crowd and ran away.
